CONFERENCE AND COURSE VENUE
The Conference and the Short Course will be held in the Tower of the Faculty of Engineering, Polytecnic University of Marches (former University of Ancona), in a modern complex of buildings situated on a hill facing Ancona’s beautiful harbor.
The Conference will take place in Aula Magna while the Short Course will be held in Room 160/3.
In order to facilitate orientation in the Faculty, each floor is identified by its altitude above sea level.
The main entrance to the Tower is at level 160, floor #1, Aula Magna is at level 150, floor # -1, Room 160/3 is at level 160, floor #1, the same floor as the entrance to the Tower.
The Exhibition area and the Conference Registration desk are on the same floor as Aula Magna .
HOW TO REACH THE FACULTY
The venue can be reached by
LUNCHES / COFFEE BREAKS
Lunches will be served in ‘Salone Polifunzionale’ at level 160, floor #1. Since lunch breaks last only approximately 1 hour and a half, participants are kindly asked to reach the luch area as soon as the last morning session ends.
Coffee breaks will take place in front of the Aula Magna.
Lunches and coffee breaks are included in the Conference Registration fee.
Lunches for accompanying persons must be booked and paid for directly at the Conference Registration Desk at least one day in advance.
ANCONA
Ancona is situated in the centre of Italy, in the Marches Region, on a beautiful harbor on the Adriatic Sea, 210 km northeast of Rome and 200 km southeast of Bologna.
It’s Greek name, Angon, means elbow. The promontory where Ancona was built, in fact, has the shape of an elbow.
